Our Affiliations

You can tell a lot about a church by its affiliations.

Our church was started in 1958 as an outreach of the Home Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.  Since that beginning we have continued our connection with other Southern Baptist Churches across North America.   You can learn more about Southern Baptists by going to SBC.net.

People often ask about doctrine.  In fact, that is a good question to ask in any church.  As a Southern Baptist Church, we agree with the doctrinal statement that is contained in “The Baptist Faith and Message.”   You can follow this link and read The Baptist Faith and Message on line.  (Or we can get you a copy,  just let Pastor Dude know you would like one.)  Would you like to talk about doctrine?   Pastor Dude would be very glad to discuss it in more detail, give him a call (701-232-6568 – Note:  we don’t have a secretary, so please leave a message if no one answers).

One special characteristic of TBC is our connection with International Missions (and International people).  In fact, we have many in our church family who are originally from other countries.  You can learn more about our connection with International missions by going to The IMB Website.

On a more local level, our church is a part of the Dakota Baptist Convention.  Made up of some 90 Southern Baptist Churches in North and South Dakota, the Dakota Baptist Convention works to begin new churches across the Dakotas and to strengthen those churches working together across our region.  Follow this link to learn more about The Dakota Baptist Convention.

Finally, at our most local level, we belong to the South Valley Baptist Association.  This local connection of churches in our Fargo-Moorhead Metro area is our closest extended church family.  Those sister churches are listed below.  Click on the name and you will be taken to their website or Facebook page.
